Nvidia Wants Your Thin Laptop to Run Local AI

The claim: Nvidia announced that its RTX Spark architecture powers a new wave of thin and light Windows laptops from major manufacturers like ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. These devices combine a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU on a single superchip with up to 128GB of unified memory to run local AI agents and games.

The reality: Fitting a Grace CPU and a Blackwell GPU into a chassis thin enough to slip into a sleeve means balancing high thermal output against actual battery life during a standard flight. When a developer fires up a 128GB unified memory workload on a slim-line portable chassis, the fans will spin up to jet-engine volume within three minutes.

Why should I care? Could be big
Wait until independent benchmarks prove these slim superchips do not throttle into oblivion under real workloads.
