NVIDIA Shrinks Its Models So You Can Buy More Hardware

The claim: NVIDIA announced the expansion of its Nemotron family with the Nemotron 3.5 Super VL and new Bolt models, aiming to deliver high-efficiency performance for local agentic workloads ranging from data centers down to a 4GB desktop footprint.

The reality: Scaling a 120-billion-parameter model down to run locally on a 24GB or 4GB footprint merely shifts the resource burden from cloud servers to expensive local workstation GPUs like the RTX 4090, solving nothing for hardware-constrained buyers.

Why should I care? Could be big
Another incremental open-weight drop that makes desktop GPUs look essential for office tasks.
