Google Wants Gemini to Replace Your Desktop Office Suite

The claim: Google announces that users can now generate, preview, and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, and spreadsheets directly within the Gemini app using a new full-screen editor.

The reality: You are simply trading a browser tab in Google Docs for a chat window running on a Chromebook, hoping the underlying LLM does not hallucinate a table row in your Q3 budget spreadsheet.
