Google Notebook Gemini Adds Textbooks to Help Students Cheat

The claim: Google announces that users can now add textbooks from publishers OpenStax and S Chand into Google Notebook Gemini to generate custom study guides and quizzes.

The reality: Students will paste a PDF into a Pixel 9 and let an LLM summarize chapters so they can pass a multiple-choice quiz on their phone without reading the material.

Why should I care? You shouldn't
It is just another textbook publisher licensing their back catalog to an LLM for marketing buzz.

Read the original: Gemini Notebook makes hundreds of textbooks available to help students learn even more.
